Bayern Kapital invests in Ryte

The Munich-based company now intends to use the money to expand into the USA and Great Britain.
Munich-based SaaS start-up Ryte is getting two million euros from Bayern Kapital, the VC arm of the Free State of Bavaria. This brings it to a total funding of 8.5 million euros in its Series A round. In addition to Bayern Kapital, VCs Octopus Investments, Senovo, PDV Inter-Media, Surplus Invest and business angels Jürgen and Rolf Dienst are among those already involved.
"We are excited about the opportunity to be part of the growth story of a young local company that enjoys such a good reputation for product excellence in the fast growing field of website quality management and user experience," said Roman Huber, Managing Director at Bayern Kapital, in light of the closing.
Ryte, which was founded as Onpage.org, has been under the management of Andreas Bruckschlögl and James Bagan since the end of 2020. The company's software helps website owners identify and fix programming errors, SEO stumbles and privacy difficulties on their site. Users include BMW, Allianz and Sixt, among others. With the money from the Series A round, the Bavarians now want to focus primarily on the UK and US markets.
