The start-up offers personalised football news. Now the German Football Association, Borussia Dortmund and Tottenham Hotspur are joining the Berlin-based company.

The German Football Association (DFB) and OneFootball already agreed on a media partnership last year. Now the DFB is joining football clubs Tottenham Hotspur and Borussia Dortmund as investors. They join ten other clubs such as FC Arsenal and Real Madrid who have been investors since autumn 2020.

Founder and CEO of OneFootball, Lucas von Cranach, is happy about the new partners, especially the DFB: "For me, this is the starting signal to bring the company to a completely different level," he tells Handelsblatt

. And explains what the collaboration means for the platform's users: "Through the strategic content partnerships, we offer fans access to exclusive content, bringing them even closer to their favorite teams."

OneFootball personalizes football news for users, and the startup makes money through advertising. According to the company, it cooperates with 125 clubs and federations, and OneFootball is also allowed to use their content. OneFootball reaches 85 million users a month, and aims to reach 100 million by the end of the year. Von Cranach did not disclose how many shares the DFB holds in OneFootball.
