Focus on amateur soccer: Prematch secures investments from top footballers and continues to focus on digital innovations for players in the lower leagues.

Cologne - The soccer start-up Prematch has gained new renowned investors. Business angels Serge Gnabry, David Raum and Jürgen Klopp's family office are providing their support for the social platform, which focuses on amateur soccer. The app, which was launched just under a year ago, is already used by players from 94% of all German soccer teams.

Our focus is on amateur soccer, which comprises 99.9% of all active players. With Prematch as a community platform, we want to ignite the passion for soccer of more than 2 billion people and create digital access

Investments by soccer giants signal increased attention for innovative concepts in amateur soccer. Companies such as the creator club Delay Sport Berlin and the women's team FC Viktoria Berlin have shown that there is market potential in this area. Prematch wants to preserve the values of soccer such as authenticity, emotionality and positivity while promoting digitalization in amateur soccer. The investment amounts were kept confidential, while the soccer stars and the family office expressed their support for the Cologne-based soccer start-up.

DFB national team player David Raum emphasizes the importance of Prematch: "As a footballer, I follow my personal statistics, the analyses of my team and the facts about the upcoming opponent. I'm delighted that Prematch makes this information accessible to all players in a modern way."

The Prematch platform offers individual profiles with performance data and statistics for players. Users can also add favorites such as players, teams and leagues to receive personalized news and results for up to 80,000 matches each weekend. The integration of gamification elements rewards player success and commitment.

Just like for me at SV Glatten, almost all footballers started their career at an amateur club. Without the great work of the people in the clubs, my own career would have been very different.

With an already high usage of 94% in adult teams last year and the recent expansion to the youth sector, Prematch remains on a stable growth path. The coming months will show how the Cologne-based start-up continues to develop.
