The online brokerage company becomes Hertha BSC's new main sponsor. The chest of the jersey apparently costs the Berlin start-up three to four million euros.

From next year, Homeday will be the main sponsor of first division soccer club Hertha BSC and will adorn the players' chests until the end of the season. The start-up will remain an "exclusive partner" until 2024, according to a statement. "The connection fits: Hertha and Homeday have common roots in Berlin and both have big growth plans," says Dmitri Uvarovski, co-founder and CMO of Homeday.

Homeday will also be allowed to advertise in the stadium. According to BILD , the jersey sponsorship will cost three to four million euros, after which Homeday will pay around one million euros per year for the exclusive partnership until 2024.

Homeday was founded in Berlin in 2015 and acts as an online estate agent. The start-up was only able to raise 40 million euros in investment this summer. The money came from a joint venture between Axel Springer SE and the online real estate agent Purplebricks, which has held a 54% stake in the company since then.
