Chargepoly Secures 23 Million Euros
The French ClimateTech company Chargepoly has closed a funding round of 23 million euros. The round is led by infrastructure investor Meridiam through its Meridiam Green Impact Growth Fund (MGIGF). Fideve Groupe, a long-standing existing investor, is also participating once again. With the fresh capital, Chargepoly aims to accelerate its international expansion and further develop its charging platform for electric commercial vehicles.
Charging Infrastructure for Heavy-Duty Vehicles
Chargepoly develops and operates high-performance DC fast-charging infrastructure for electric truck and bus fleets. Founded in 2019 by Hadi Moussavi, the company offers an integrated solution comprising charging hardware, smart software, and the operation of the charging infrastructure.
The focus is on depot charging solutions for logistics companies, bus operators, and industrial fleets. Chargepoly already operates several hundred fast-charging stations in France, the United Kingdom, and Canada. According to the company, these systems are already enabling the decarbonization of more than one million kilometers of transport per month.
Software Optimizes Operating Costs
A unique selling point of the platform is its proprietary software, Lucie, which intelligently distributes available charging power across multiple charging points. This allows for more efficient use of grid connections, lowers installation costs, and permanently reduces operating costs.
The modular architecture is designed in particular to help logistics sites make the transition to electric trucks more cost-effective and significantly improve the total cost of ownership (TCO).
International Expansion Firmly in Sight
With the new funding, Chargepoly aims to expand its international presence and further scale its integrated technology platform.
The company is already collaborating with numerous fleet operators and industrial companies, including Groupe Rave, Nationex, and CMA CGM. At the same time, Chargepoly is working closely with leading commercial vehicle manufacturers such as Renault Trucks, Volvo Trucks, and Daimler Truck to integrate charging infrastructure directly into vehicle sales.
In addition, the systems have already been tested for interoperability with over 50 different electric commercial vehicle models.
Meridiam Leads the Funding Round
The €23 million funding round is led by infrastructure investor Meridiam through its Meridiam Green Impact Growth Fund (MGIGF). Existing investor Fideve Groupe is also participating in the financing once again. With this investment, Meridiam aims to further drive the expansion of sustainable mobility infrastructure and the electrification of heavy-duty transport in Europe.
Chargepoly was founded in 2019 by Hadi Moussavi and is headquartered in Aix-en-Provence, France. The company develops integrated fast-charging solutions specifically for heavy-duty commercial vehicles and is one of the pioneers in the field of depot charging infrastructure for electric truck and bus fleets.
