The start-up offers used laptops, smartphones, monitors and tablets for companies.

The start-up Circulee launches its operations today. The company offers used IT hardware for sale. "Because with every PC, laptop, monitor and smartphone, the environmental impact of CO2 emissions and electronic waste increases," says Circulee. A new monitor would produce 420 kilograms of CO2 during production. That is equivalent to three domestic flights. By purchasing used devices, companies can improve their carbon footprint.

To set itself apart from other providers, the start-up not only wants to offer used devices, but also support its customers as a consultant. To this end, Circulee has set up a cockpit that customers can use to create support requests, manage invoices and track emissions savings.

"We believe that companies and organizations have a responsibility to become more sustainable. And that green IT can make a simple but effective contribution to this," says Thomas Gros, CEO and co-founder of Circulee. He founded the start-up together with David Block and Focy Khoury in 2021. According to the company, it has over 40 customers. In the future, the founders plan to offer additional services such as subscription models and insurance for devices.
