Financial flow launches ETF search

The start-up has built a database for passive funds. Through affiliate links, Finance Forward receives a commission when users sign up for savings plans with brokers.

Finanzfluss has launched its first feature of its own: visitors to the website can now search for ETFs free of charge and thus compare them with each other. According to the start-up, this also opens up Finance Forward the start-up is also tapping into a new source of funding, as users can be redirected straight to a provider such as Scalable Capital or Trade Republic. If they create a savings plan there, Finanzfluss receives a commission. "Sooner or later, we will also rely on advertising in the ETF search," Finanzfluss founder Thomas Kehl tells Finance Forward.

The ETF search provides master data, composition, return and risk for around 2,400 ETFs. Under the heading of sustainability, users can also see whether the ETF has companies in its portfolio that trade in alcohol and tobacco, offer gambling, conduct animal experiments, manufacture weapons or mine coal.

Thomas Kehl and Arno Krieger founded Finanzfluss in 2016. At that time, the company started with a Youtube channel of the same name that provides information about finance. In the meantime, Finanzfluss has 18 employees and also offers guides and podcasts. In addition to the free information offerings, there is also exclusive paid content such as Finanzfluss Campus, a webinar on financial organization.
