The Munich-based medtech has successfully completed its seed financing round. Among other things, the company's app is designed to facilitate communication and process planning between patients and caregivers - but also among caregivers themselves.

Munich-based startup Clinisvere announced today that it has closed a seed funding round. It is expected to be in the seven-figure range, the exact amount remains unknown. Among others, the venture capital company of the Free State of Bavaria, Bayern Kapital, which had already invested in the pre-seed round in autumn 2019, is involved. Other existing investors, including the world's largest early-stage investor Plug and Play, have also injected money again. A new addition is Miele Venture Capital, the investment arm of Gütersloh-based household goods manufacturer Miele.

"The healthcare industry needs innovative, digital solutions - to counteract the care bottleneck, but also to be able to efficiently tackle global challenges, such as a pandemic," says Dr. Georg Ried, Managing Director of Bayern Kapital. Cliniserve CEO and co-founder Julian Nast-Kolb says: "Thanks to the financial and technical support of our investors, we have been able to add helpful features to the Cliniserve platform in recent months and convince more clinics to use our platform." Cliniserve wants to put the money into expanding national and international sales opportunities. It also plans to use it to further develop the software and bring it to more wards.

Cliniserve is currently used in over 20 clinics and care facilities in Germany. These include well-known addresses such as the University Hospital of Schleswig-Holstein and the LMU Clinic in Munich. Founded in January 2018, Cliniserve aims to use its software to relieve nursing staff and give them more time to look after patients. This is to be possible, among other things, by reducing the walking distances of the staff. In mid-October, Cliniserve was presented with the "i-care Award 2021" at the German Nursing Day.
