The Munich-based medtech has successfully completed its seed financing round. Among other things, the company's app is designed to facilitate communication and process planning between patients and caregivers - as well as between caregivers themselves.

The Munich-based start-up Clinisvere today announced the completion of a seed financing round. It is expected to be in the seven-figure range, although the exact amount remains unknown. Among others, the venture capital company of the Free State of Bavaria, Bayern Kapital, which had already invested in the pre-seed round in fall 2019, is involved. Other existing investors, including the world's largest early-stage investor Plug and Play, have also injected further funds. Miele Venture Capital, the investment arm of Gütersloh-based household goods manufacturer Miele, is a new addition.

"The healthcare industry needs innovative, digital solutions - to counteract the care bottleneck, but also to efficiently tackle global challenges such as a pandemic," says Dr. Georg Ried, Managing Director of Bayern Kapital. Julian Nast-Kolb, CEO and co-founder of Cliniserve, says: "Thanks to the financial and technical support of our investors, we have been able to add helpful functions to the Cliniserve platform in recent months and convince other clinics of the benefits of our platform." Cliniserve intends to invest the money in the expansion of national and international sales opportunities. It also wants to further develop the software and use it on more wards.

Cliniserve is currently used in over 20 clinics and care facilities in Germany. These include well-known addresses such as the University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein and the LMU Clinic in Munich. The company was founded in January 2018 and Cliniserve's software aims to relieve the burden on nursing staff and give them more time to care for patients. Among other things, this should be possible by reducing the distances staff have to walk. In mid-October, Cliniserve was presented with the "i-care Award 2021" at the German Nursing Day.
