Edition F must file for insolvency

Due to economic developments, the feminist platform would have had no choice but to file for insolvency.

Edition F, a feminist media platform, has filed for provisional insolvency. This was announced by Meedia announced. In view of the economic situation, nothing else could be done. "The immense increase in costs for our events" was one of the reasons, according to Managing Director Lana Wittig. Even "after two exhausting years and a new economically tense situation", there would have been no choice but to close the media start-up.

It is unclear what will happen to the company after almost nine years. The feminist platform had filed for bankruptcy due to the threat of debt. The FFF day planned for the beginning of September has also been postponed. Managing Director Lana Wittig says that the insolvency was unavoidable despite all efforts. The content for the online magazine, newsletter and social media channels will continue to be produced for the time being.

The two founders Susann Hoffmann and Nora-Vanessa Wohlert set out in 2014 to create a digital home for women. The founders wanted to paint a broader picture of politics, business and society. They ran "Edition F" until 2020, when Wittig took over in January 2021 and Hoffmann and Wohlert joined as partners. Hoffmann says of the bankruptcy: "Insolvency still feels like a defeat today. We shouldn't measure success by the final point, but rather be aware of the positive impact, the learning experience and the strength that a company and a team have been able to develop along the way up to this day."
