The Munich-based start-up is still in the seed financing stage and has already been able to attract the Chinese company Justech Precision Industry as an investor.

The start-up Emocean was founded near Munich in 2020 as a spin-off of the investor Stratos Ventures. The two managing directors Michael Schwarz and Philipp Kirschenhofer have a wealth of experience. Emocean is still in the seed financing phase, with Chinese automation and precision systems specialist Justech Precision Industry now investing a six-figure sum. Together, the two companies want to work on middleware that allows machines and processes to connect and communicate with each other in real time. This is particularly interesting for the construction of smart factories in the context of Industry 4.0.

Emocean has already acquired a number of international customers, but the investment and cooperation will not only see the company enter the Chinese market, but also invest money in expanding its range of services. According to founder Kirschenhofer, the aim is "to become one of the leading providers of industrial IoT solutions."
