Berlin, June 19, 2024 - Berlin-based Forward Earth has raised €3.2 million to further develop its AI-powered environmental management software and expand globally. The aim is to help companies comply with strict environmental regulations and improve sustainability in their supply chains.

Funding and investors

Forward Earth received the financing round led by Speedinvest, Revent, Lucid Capital and the serial founders Anna Alex and Benedikt Franke. The EU (ERDF) also participated with 1.2 million euros. These funds supplement the existing 2 million euros in pre-seed funding from private investors. The EU funding underlines the importance and leading role of Forward Earth's technology in the field of environmental management.

The new capital will be used to further improve the AI technology and expand the company's global presence. Dr. Micha Schildmann, former Chief Strategy Officer at Planetly, founded Forward Earth after Planetly was acquired by OneTrust. Cari Davidson, CTO of Forward Earth, was previously CTO of Planetly and VP Engineering at OneTrust. Giuseppe Gentile, CPO of Forward Earth, has many years of experience in leadership positions in the field of sustainability.
