paXos Solar Plans a €1.5 Million Funding Round to Support Further Growth
The cleantech company paXos Solar, based in Langenfeld, plans to raise up to 1.5 million euros through the investment platform FunderNation. The capital will be used to pre-finance new solar roof projects and expand sales. Following a significant increase in revenue in the third quarter of 2026, the company is aiming for four million euros in revenue for the coming year.
paXos Solar GmbH, based in Langenfeld, North Rhine-Westphalia, has launched a new funding round. The company plans to raise up to 1.5 million euros via the FunderNation platform. With the additional funds, the company intends to improve its production and delivery capabilities, pre-finance new projects, and expand its network of specialized contractors and sales partners.
The cleantech company develops integrated solar roofing systems that combine photovoltaics with traditional roofing materials. According to the company, paXos Solar has completed more than 35 projects since it began operations in September 2024.
The latest capital raise follows significant revenue growth in the current fiscal year. In the third quarter of 2026, paXos Solar generated approximately 470,000 euros in revenue, up from just 78,000 euros in the second quarter. This means quarterly revenue has increased approximately sixfold. In the first nine months, revenue totaled approximately 608,000 euros.
Operating income also showed a positive trend, though it remained negative. The loss before interest and taxes (EBIT) decreased from approximately 338,000 euros in the second quarter to 131,000 euros in the third quarter. This represents an improvement of about 61 percent.
Two Solar Roof Solutions for Different Types of Buildings
paXos Solar currently offers two product lines. The so-called multi-energy roof combines small-format flat solar tiles with a closed roof covering. The system includes, among other things, a metal sub-roof, protected cable routing, and defined rear ventilation.
Thanks to the individually replaceable solar tiles, even more complex roof surfaces can be utilized for electricity generation. Optionally, the air heated by solar radiation can be fed into a suitable heat pump.
The second product line is designed specifically for buildings with traditional roof shapes. The historic solar interlocking tile is visually modeled after classic interlocking tiles and is available in various colors. This is intended to enable the use of photovoltaic systems even in architecturally sophisticated renovation projects.
According to paXos Solar, the company delivered the first two projects featuring the historic solar interlocking tile in Brandenburg in the third quarter of 2026.
The multi-energy roof has already been honored with the 2024 German Solar Prize and the 2026 Green Product Award. In addition, the product is among the finalists for the German Sustainability Prize in the Products category.
Four Million Euros in Revenue Planned for 2027
paXos Solar intends to use the fresh capital primarily to improve the financing of materials and ongoing roofing projects. At the same time, the company aims to recruit additional roofers, architects, and sales partners to convert more customer inquiries into actual orders.
Furthermore, the company plans to streamline installation processes, reduce manufacturing costs, and further develop its products.
paXos Solar has set a revenue target of four million euros for 2027. According to the company’s projections, this corresponds to approximately 100 completed rooftop projects. Compared to the annual revenue of around 500,000 euros reported for 2025, this would represent a significant increase.
As early as 2025, the company received funding from NRW.BANK as part of the NRW.SeedCap support program.
The current financing round is now intended to lay the groundwork for the next phase of growth. The key factor will be whether paXos Solar can translate the increased demand into a correspondingly higher number of completed projects while simultaneously improving its cost structure.
