Liefergrün receives three million euros

The start-up from Münster has secured new funding to enable emission-free deliveries in major cities.
The delivery service Liefergrün has raised three million euros in a recent financing round. Speedinvest is leading the round and is supported by Norrsken VC. Business angels from Tier, Schüttflix and Klarna are also involved. Liefergrün intends to use the new capital to expand its team and expand into other European countries. The long-term plan is to expand to London, Paris and Madrid.
According to the start-up, 70 percent of all emissions in parcel delivery are generated in urban logistics. This is where Liefergrün wants to start and improve the eco-balance by delivering parcels with the help of cargo bikes and e-vans. According to its own figures, Liefergrün can save around 420 grams of C02 emissions per delivery. "Consumers want real action instead of just greenwashing. So instead of just offsetting logistics emissions with questionable concepts, we need to avoid them altogether," says co-founder Robin Wingenbach. However, it is not just about avoiding emissions, but also about combating noise pollution and traffic jams in large cities.
Wingenbach, Niklas Tauch and Max Schleper founded the delivery service in 2020. The start-up is now represented in 17 German cities. Its customers already include brands such as Adidas, Dyson and Every. Liefergrün cooperates with retailers and offers
them with next-day ship-from-store solutions with real-time tracking of the shipment.
