Ninox hires former Intel executive as CEO

It was only in March that a new CFO joined Berlin-based start-up Ninox, and now Jürgen Thiel is the new CEO. The start-up is expanding its management team to drive the expansion of its own business model.

Developing applications for your own company without any programming knowledge - that's what the start-up Ninox makes possible. Now the Berliners are bringing a new managing director into their company, whose main task is to drive Ninox's growth and expansion. Jürgen Thiel worked at Intel for 16 years, also as managing director of the German branch. Most recently, he was responsible for global sales and business development at Paessler, a southern German IT monitoring specialist.

With a no-code model, Ninox has been focusing on supporting medium-sized companies in their digitalization since 2013. Customers in Germany include Siemens, Aboutyou and Thyssen Krupp. Worldwide, Generali and the National Basketball Association (NBA), for example, use Ninox's offering. "I look forward to expanding this high-growth business model even further in the future," says Thiel about his move.

Thiel also sees that companies need help with their digitalization: "Companies around the world are desperately looking for good solutions. Our approach of dramatically simplifying the creation of individual business applications with a 'no-code' model not only solves IT's problem of finding suitable specialists - we empower departments in companies of all types and sizes to move away from Excel spreadsheets and towards lean, automated processes on their own."

It was only in March that Ninox gained Daniel Kronberger as CFO, who brought with him experience at Beiersdorf, Deutsche Beteiligungs AG and most recently at AOT, a manufacturer of medical technology. "More than 5,000 satisfied customers and strong growth over the last three years - with revenue growth of more than 120 percent in 2020 - prove that Ninox is on the right track," says the man in charge of the numbers at Ninox.

Founder Frank Böhmer is still on board and takes care of the technical development of the platform.
