Apparent dispute over works council at Flink

The employees of Flink are planning to elect an election committee for the election of the works council. Due to a postponement of the date, Flink is now turning to the Berlin labor court.

With Flink, the next quick delivery service is now apparently lining up, which has problems with the establishment of a works council. In the past, Gorillas had already vehemently tried to block the election of a works council. Now there is apparently also a dispute at the competitor, as Gründerszene reported.

According to the report, Flink had already introduced so-called Ops Committees in April, i.e. employee representatives in the company's individual warehouses. These representatives were supposed to collect feedback from employees and pass it on to Flink. The committee had, for example, enforced that couriers no longer had to carry heavy backpacks, but could transport them on special luggage carriers.

However, the Ops Committees do not go far enough for some employees. They want to form a works council. To this end, the employees planned to elect the election board on July 22.

They then moved this date to September 5. Flink is now apparently taking action against this. The company is said to have filed an application for a temporary injunction with the Berlin Labor Court. The company's aim was apparently to ensure that the election would take place today, Friday, as planned, rather than being postponed. Now it is completely unclear when the election will actually take place.
