Pliant expands into four markets

The credit card start-up wants to try its hand in Portugal and the Netherlands, among other countries.
The start-up Pliant plans to expand and in the future will also be active in the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Portugal and Finland. Founder Malte Rau told the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ).
The start-up will presumably use the money from its seed round, which was expanded in December 2021, for its expansion. At that time, investors gave the fintech another 18 million euros, after 5.7 million euros in venture capital had already flowed into the start-up in July 2021. The round was led at the time by Maschmeyer fund Alstin Capital, but scene great Ramin Niroumand also invested. At the time, founder Malte Rau said they could now fully "concentrate on expansion," as Startbase reported.
Malte Rau and Fabian Terner founded Pliant in 2020 in Berlin. The startup offers credit cards for companies. All expenses and receipts are collected in a management tool that can also be linked to previous accounting software and travel expense solutions. In addition, corporate customers receive cashbacks when paying with the card.
