Simply Delivery raises ten million euros

Simply Delivery offers its customers software for all restaurant processes. The Berlin-based company has now raised ten million euros in a Series A financing round. The round was led by Cusp Capital.

Simply Delivery is digitalizing the restaurant industry: its software digitizes everything from order receipt to delivery. The Berlin-based start-up has now raised ten million euros in a Series A financing round. The round was led by venture capitalist Cusp Capital, with Fortino Capital also participating as a co-investor.

"The success of Simply Delivery's SaaS solution clearly shows that cloud-based solutions from a single source will gradually replace previously fragmented software solutions," says Christian Winter from Cusp Capital. This is because the software also offers solutions for personnel planning, marketing, warehousing and product procurement. The money raised will be used to expand the business in Germany, Austria, the Netherlands and Switzerland, with more countries to follow in the medium term.

The software is used by customers such as McDonald's, Dean and David, Burger King, L'Osteria and Burgerme. Founded in 2014, the start-up now employs around 80 people, mainly from the food service industry. "We are the operating system that makes it easy for restaurateurs to deliver ordered food to the table or home. Our modular software packages make restaurants' work easier and support them in the delivery process," says founder Björn Wisnewski, describing Simply Delivery's business concept.

Venture capitalist Cusp Capital launched a fund worth 300 million euros in April: "We are still looking for entrepreneurs who share our long-term hypotheses on economic and social developments and want to actively shape them through software," says Winter. Cusp Capital is backed by several veterans of the scene whose previous investments have now reached a value of 80 billion euros.
