Simply Delivery raises ten million euros

One software for all restaurant processes - that's what Simply Delivery offers its customers. The Berlin-based company has now raised ten million euros in a Series A financing round. The round is led by Cusp Capital.

Simply Delivery is digitizing the restaurant industry: With its software, everything from order entry to delivery is digitalized. Now the Berlin-based start-up has raised ten million euros in a Series A financing round. The round was led by venture capitalist Cusp Capital, with Fortino Capital also joining as a co-investor.

"The success of Simply Delivery's SaaS solution clearly shows that cloud-based solutions from a single source will gradually replace the previously fragmented software solutions," says Christian Winter of Cusp Capital. This is because the software also offers solutions for personnel planning, marketing, warehousing and procurement of products. The money raised will be used to expand the business in Germany, Austria, the Netherlands and Switzerland, with other countries to follow in the medium term.

The software is used by customers such as McDonald's, Dean and David, Burger King, L'Osteria and Burgerme. Founded in 2014, the start-up now employs around 80 people, mainly from the restaurant industry. "We are the operating system that makes it easy for restaurateurs to deliver the food they order to their table or home. Our modular software packages make the restaurants' work easier and support them in delivery," says founder Björn Wisnewski, describing Simply Delivery's business concept.

Venture capitalist Cusp Capital launched a 300 million euro fund in April: "We continue to look for entrepreneurs who share our long-term hypotheses on economic and social developments and want to actively shape them via software," says Winter. Behind Cusp Capital are several scene veterans whose earlier investments have now reached a value of 80 billion euros.
