The cannabis start-up from Berlin has received prominent support from the USA.

The American investment fund Casa Verde Capital has invested 3.5 million US dollars in the Sanity Group as part of the Series A financing round. In the seed round, partners of the investment fund already invested in the Berlin cannabis start-up via a vehicle. The start-up now has a total valuation of 65 million euros.

The Sanity Group intends to use the money to research further medical cannabis products and expand the business. "We are very proud that the largest cannabis VC fund in the USA has now also invested in Germany for the first time. Casa Verde's investment is also an important signal for the European market and confirms that we are on the right track," says Sanity Group founder Finn Hänsel. Casa Verde Capital was co-founded by rapper Snoop Dogg in 2015 and invests in cannabis start-ups around the world. The portfolio includes 20 cannabis companies.

Sanity Group was founded in 2018 by Fabian Friede and Finn Hänsel and develops medical cannabis products. The start-up is also active in consumer health.
