Snoop Dogg's fund invests in Sanity Group

The cannabis start-up from Berlin is getting prominent support from the US.
The American investment fund Casa Verde Capital has invested 3.5 million US dollars in Sanity Group as part of the Series A financing round. In the seed round, partners of the investment fund already participated in the Berlin-based cannabis start-up via a vehicle. In total, the start-up now has a valuation of 65 million euros.
With the money, Sanity Group wants to explore further medical cannabis products and expand the business. "We are very proud that the largest cannabis VC fund in the US has now also invested in Germany for the first time. In this context, Casa Verde's entry is also an important sign for the European market and furthermore confirms us in our path so far," says Sanity Group founder Finn Hänsel. Casa Verde Capital was co-founded by rapper Snoop Dogg in 2015 and invests in cannabis start-ups around the world. Its portfolio includes 20 cannabis companies.
Sanity Group was founded in 2018 by Fabian Friede and Finn Hänsel and develops medical cannabis products. The startup is also active in consumer health.
