Silent partnership for company builder Mantro

The Munich-based company receives mezzanine financing from BayBG. The company builder wants to grow further.

Mantro from Munich has received a silent participation in the form of mezzanine capital. BayBG Bayerische Beteiligungsgesellschaft is giving the money, the amount is not known. "Mantro GmbH stands out from other digitization consultants or system houses with an exceptional business model," said Ulrich Strobel, investment manager at BayBG. "It supports medium-sized companies and corporations in the form of a company builder in the development of new digital business models." To do this, Mantro establishes new companies together with industrial clients via joint ventures.

Mantro currently employs 75 people at its locations in Munich, Zagreb and the Ruhr region. Founded in 2005, the company only started as a company builder six years ago; before that, the Munich-based company was a technical service provider. Mantro has already founded 25 companies with the aim of driving digitalization.

Once the new company is successful, both Mantro and the industrial company inject money and hand over the management. "With this kind of collaboration, we regularly manage to combine the best of both worlds: Dynamism and new approaches of a young digital start-up on the one hand, experience and organizational expertise on the other," says Mantro CEO Manfred Tropper.
