Tomorrow raises prices - and kicks out customers

The banking start-up initially offered free accounts. There's nothing left of that now.
The banking start-up Tomorrow is taking the next step in increasing its prices and now existing customers will also be affected, as the start-up for sustainable banking and investment admitted in the middle of the week. Customers who currently have free accounts will have to fork out 4.90 euros for the "Change" account model over the next twelve months, and 2.70 euros for "Now". This is slightly cheaper than the current offers for new customers, which are seven and three euros respectively. Anyone who does not switch to the fee-based account by October 15 must then cancel. Free accounts for new customers have not been available for a year.
The start-up cites its costs as the reason for the new fees. "Every account costs us money," it writes in its latest message to customers. And not just too little: "Our costs for the accounts that are currently free for you are 5 to 7 euros per account and per month. So we are paying extra."
The start-up no longer wants to accept this and is therefore raising the prices for the free accounts. It is not clear how many customers this will actually affect, as Tomorrow states that it currently has 130,000 users, but does not mention how many are currently using the app and the offer for free.
