Unosecur secures 5 million US dollars

Berlin-based startup Unosecur receives fresh capital to strengthen the security of human and machine identities in hybrid IT environments
Berlin, April 9, 2025 - Berlin-based cybersecurity startup Unosecur has successfully closed a $5 million seed funding round. In addition, the company received oversubscribed commitments of a further 3 million US dollars. The round was led by venture capitalists VentureFriends and DFF Ventures, with Leo Capital, Heartfelt (APX) and business angels also participating.
Protection for human and machine identities
Unosecur is developing an AI-supported identity security platform that protects both human and machine identities in companies. Today, 15 organizations, including a Fortune 500 company, already rely on Unosecur's solution to consolidate their identity landscape.

Santhosh Jayaprakash, founder and CEO of Unosecur
The startup was founded in Berlin in 2021 and is on a mission to fundamentally rethink identity security. The company offers companies a forward-looking solution to protect themselves against the growing threat of cyberattacks - and is an early adopter of AI and a unified platform strategy.
Focus on expansion and further development
With the new capital, Unosecur plans to further expand its research and development in the field of real-time threat detection, AI-supported risk analysis and automated response. In addition, new customers in North America, Europe and other regions will be acquired and the team will be expanded, particularly in the areas of product development, customer success and go-to-market.
Cloud identity security in the age of AI
Unosecur addresses a central problem of modern IT security: the increasing fragmentation of identity and access management (IAM) in companies. According to Gartner, around 75% of all security incidents will be due to inadequate identity management by 2025.
The startup's solution is based on a unified identity fabric that brings together human, machine and AI identities across hybrid IT environments and uses AI to continuously monitor for anomalies.
Support from investors and analysts
Investors see great potential in the platform. Onur Can, Partner at Heartfelt Capital, emphasizes the relevance of agile, integrated solutions for identity management. Maarten Engelen, Partner at DFF Ventures, emphasizes that identity security is a key vulnerability in cloud environments. Analyst Martin Kuppinger from KuppingerCole also sees Unosecur as an important player in the transition to a unified identity fabric.
