After an extended period of development behind the scenes, the Munich-based startup Willidrop has emerged from stealth mode and made its first public appearance to showcase its product and announce the completion of a funding round. The founders have not yet disclosed the amount of the investment.

With this fresh capital, the company plans to further develop its platform for the digitization and automation of vehicle logistics and accelerate its market entry.

AI Agents for Vehicle Logistics

Willidrop is developing an agent-based operating system for vehicle logistics. The goal is to automate the numerous manual processes involved in vehicle transport. To this day, transport orders are often coordinated via email, phone calls, and spreadsheets. Dispatchers track deliveries, coordinate with freight forwarders, respond to status inquiries, and resolve exceptions manually. In the future, specialized AI agents are set to take over precisely these tasks.

The platform coordinates vehicle transport end-to-end and is designed to ensure faster processes, greater transparency, and more reliable operational execution.

Founder Team Focuses on Operational Automation

Behind Willidrop are founders Maximilian Thon, Tobias Fuchs, and Andreas Wissel. Together, they aim not only to digitize existing logistics processes but also to largely replace manual operations. The focus is on so-called agentic AI systems, which independently coordinate tasks, prepare decisions, and orchestrate operational workflows among various stakeholders.

Broad Consortium of Investors

Although no details regarding the amount of the funding round have been disclosed, Willidrop has attracted a notable network of investors and entrepreneurs. Supporters include Rapid Pioneers Group, TA Ventures, and True Growth Capital, as well as business angels such as Roman Kirsch, Thomas Griesel, Marco Vietor, Frederick Jost, Viktoriya Tigipko, Alexej Habinski, Noel Bollmann, Benjamin Kremer, Ignaz Forstmeier, Sebastian Kuhnert, Mark Edelhoff, Kevin Kolb, Dr. Hans H. Hamer, Michael Wieser, and Jan-Christoph Rickers.
