Zenloop most recently made a loss of 3.8 million euros

The Berlin start-up had a higher net loss in 2021 than in the previous year
The Berlin-based start-up Zenloop published its annual financial statements for 2021, showing a net loss of 3.8 million euros for the year as a whole. In 2020, the net loss for the year amounted to 2.8 million euros. This means that the company has cost a total of 11.3 million euros to set up since it was founded, according to Deutsche-startups.de writes. There are no signs of a trend reversal, so Zenloop will probably need new capital soon.
The start-up last closed a financing round in summer 2020. Signals Venture Capital, Nauta Capital and Piton Capital invested 6.1 million euros. Since the company was founded in 2016, founders Paul Schwarzenholz and Björn Kolbmüller have raised more than twelve million euros. They each still hold 22.5 percent of the company. The annual financial statements also show that Zenloop took on more than two million euros in new liabilities in 2021.
Zenloop employed an average of 44 people in 2021, compared to 38 in the previous year and 35 in 2019. A year earlier, there were only 12. Zenloop currently has more than 60 employees on its own website.
