Rightmart raises over €6.5 million

The start-up was originally called Atornix and used the funding as an opportunity to change its name. The founding team itself also participated in the financing round.

Bremen-based legaltech company Rightmart landed investments of more than €6.5 million. Auxilia-Rechtsschutz-Versicherungs AG led the round. The Rightmart founding team injected money themselves. As part of the funding, the startup officially renamed itself from Atornix to Rightmart Group.

Marco Klock and Philipp Harsleben had founded the company in 2015. Rightmart digitizes legal representation processes. It also aims to reduce inefficiencies in the legal market for consumers. Other areas of application: Rightmart specializes in sales, marketing as well as business model development for law firms.

The start-up states that 54 percent of households do not have legal protection insurance. These consumers would rarely assert their right. Rightmart aims to use Big Data and so-called "economies of scale" to reduce financial barriers, among other things. The company has two platforms: Hartz4widerspruch.de and Dieselskandal-helfer.de. With these, consumers should be able to get an automated initial assessment of their case.

The company plans to use the funding to further develop its digital legal services. "With the new funding, we want to create a platform with new business models, financing options, technology, and marketing and sales services that will allow law firms to build attractive business cases," says CEO and co-founder Klock. "We believe that in five years, consumers who don't have legal insurance will have easy and cost-effective access to justice."
