2 million for happyhotel

Offenburg-based startup happyhotel receives 2 million euros in investment to help hotels automate price management with its cloud-based AI software.

Offenburg - The Offenburg-based technology startup happyhotel has received a substantial financial injection. Start-up BW Innovation Fonds, Carsten Maschmeyer's seed + speed Ventures and the family office Wecken & Cie have invested 2 million euros in a seed round. The young company is also supported by experienced business angels, including personalities such as Swen Laempe from vioma GmbH and Marco Beicht from Powercloud.

SaaS solutions for the hotel industry

happyhotel's cloud-based revenue management software is now gaining acceptance in the D/A/CH region. It offers a user-friendly solution for hotels, apartments and small hotel chains. The software is based on artificial intelligence (AI) and helps hoteliers to increase their revenue by automating price management. The startup was founded in October 2019 by Marius Müller, Sebastian Kuhnhardt and Rafael Weißmüller and is based in the Offenburg Technology Park.

The company plans to use the fresh capital to further develop its software-as-a-service product and invest in sales and internationalization. More than 60 employees are to be hired by the end of 2024 to support growth. The investments will also be used to further improve the product through the use of AI. The aim of happyhotel is to automate the sales processes in hotels and incorporate additional data into the system to optimize marketing and sales decisions. In addition to the existing DACH market, the company plans to expand into other countries and markets.
