Gitti from Berlin closes its financing round. It wants to use the money to drive its international expansion. A new manager is also joining the company.

The Berlin-based nail polish start-up Gitti has secured Series A financing of 6.9 million euros. This brings the total investment to ten million euros. The round is led by Xange, a Paris-based VC and business angels such as Martin Avetisyan from Farfetch and Alexander Frolov, CEO of Target Global. The existing investors have also raised, including Btov Partners from St. Gallen and the Stuttgart-based VC Grazia Equity as well as Mirko Caspar, the co-founder of Mister Spex. Gitti intends to use the money to expand internationally.

Jennifer Baum-Minkus founded the start-up in 2018. Gitti sells vegan, environmentally friendly, water-based nail polish. The range now also includes products for hand and nail care. The products are well-known because many influencers advertise for Gitti. Last year, founder Jennifer Baum-Minkus was a guest on Vox's Höhle der Löwe, but did not receive any investment. 40 people work for Gitti.

It is also known that Volker Bergner has been COO of Gitti since July. He was most recently employed at Tourlane, where he was Senior Vice President for Operations.
