The company is benefiting from rising prices and reports sales of almost 900 million euros in the first quarter of 2021.

Auto1 has announced nothing but success stories since the beginning of the year; in February, the company went public and is now listed on the SDAX. At the time of the IPO, Auto1 was valued at 11.7 billion euros. Now there are figures for the first quarter of 2021: sales rose to 899.5 million euros from 779.1 million euros in the comparable quarter of 2020. Auto1 was able to sell more cars and benefited from rising prices, which accrue on used and new cars.

In its operating business, Auto1 continues to be in the red, caused by the investment in its private customer brand Autohero. Adjusted, the company's loss was 14 million euros, down from 22 million euros in the previous quarter.

The minus is also fed by the share-based remuneration of the management: shareholders received a net 252.9 million euros after the IPO, in the fourth quarter of 2020 it was only 60.4 million euros.
