Awake Mobility gets investor from Silicon Valley

The start-up is only a few months old, and already it has attracted an investor from the US for its pre-seed funding round: Synapse Partners. High-Tech Gründerfonds and Vireo Ventures are also involved.
Founded only in October 2020, Awake Mobility now announces a successful pre-seed financing round. High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF), Synapse Partners from Silicon Valley and Berlin-based early investor Vireo Ventures are all involved. The round took place back in March, according to the startup.
The money will be invested in product development and expanding the team. The Munich-based start-up is dedicated to the digitalization of public transport, currently mainly buses. With the help of AI, failures are to be prevented, damage detected beforehand and costs reduced. For this purpose, IoT hardware is installed in the buses.
The start-up was founded by Daniel Sattel, Houssem Braham and Daniel Tyoschitz. They bring experience from Silicon Valley, including Braham's work at Tesla. With Awake Mobility, they want to digitize not only buses, but also other means of transport. "A world of undisturbed transportation. That is our goal," Tyoschitz describes the Munich-based company's mission.
