conmeet Raises 6 Million Euros
Just six months after its pre-seed round, the Borken-based ConstructionTech startup conmeet has closed an oversubscribed seed financing round of 6 million euros. The round is co-led by Reimann Investors Venture Capital and Smedvig Ventures. May Ventures, the lead investor in the pre-seed round, is also participating again. With the fresh capital, the company plans to accelerate its expansion in the DACH region, further develop its product, and strategically expand its team.
AI Instead of Siloed Solutions
For years, trades and construction companies have struggled with a multitude of isolated software solutions. Estimating, purchasing, scheduling, construction site management, controlling, and billing are often handled through different systems, leading to data disconnects, duplicate data entry, and a lack of transparency.
This is exactly where conmeet comes in. The startup is developing a centralized AI management system that brings all business processes together on a shared data foundation. From the initial customer inquiry through material procurement and construction site management to invoicing, all processes are designed to be managed on a single platform.
AI as a Central Component of the Platform
Unlike many existing solutions, conmeet does not see itself as just another software tool, but rather as a fully integrated operating system for skilled trades and construction companies. The platform was designed from the outset for the use of artificial intelligence.
The software already automates recurring processes today. In the future, AI agents are expected to independently take on tasks, prepare decisions, and automate entire process chains within defined approval frameworks. With this, conmeet aims to address the increasing demands resulting from a shortage of skilled workers, documentation requirements, and growing project complexity.
Founders Combine Industry Knowledge with Scaling Experience
conmeet was founded in mid-2023 by Benedikt Kisner, Leandro Ananias, and Lennart Eckerlein. The company initially developed its platform for two years using its own funds.
CEO Benedikt Kisner brings extensive scaling experience to the table and previously grew the netgo group to more than 1,300 employees. Lennart Eckerlein previously ran a medium-sized skilled trades business himself and understands the daily challenges of the target audience from personal experience. CTO Leandro Ananias is responsible for the technical platform architecture and the AI-enabled data model.
Investors are betting on vertical AI software
For investors, the combination of deep industry understanding and modern AI architecture is particularly crucial. Reimann Investors views the skilled trades and construction sectors as one of Europe’s largest vertical software markets, one that cannot be served by generic solutions. Smedvig Ventures particularly highlights the potential to fundamentally transform a market that has been largely undigitized to date using an AI-centric platform.
With this new funding, conmeet now aims to expand its position as the central business platform for trades and construction companies and take the next step in its growth within the German-speaking market.
