DeepL publishes AI writing assistant

The AI should be able to optimize all forms of text. The start-up's new function is initially available as a beta version.
The Cologne-based start-up DeepL is launching its AI writing assistant DeepL Write for German and English. The new AI is designed to help its users express themselves better and improve their writing style. The Mayor of Cologne, Henriette Reker, learned about this and other milestones at DeepL during a visit on Monday. "The success story of DeepL shows how Cologne's founders are shaping the world of tomorrow with their solutions," said Reker. Artificial intelligence is a key technology that can simplify people's lives".
According to the company, the new technology DeepL Write should be able to recognize contextual nuances in texts and then suggest formulations. The AI can help to formulate texts more comprehensibly, more fluently, more pointedly or more vividly - depending on requirements. It could be used to correct both emails and theses. "Ultimately, Write serves as a pool of ideas and inspiration for fine-tuning your own text," says DeepL CEO Jaroslaw Kutylowski. The AI is currently in the beta phase and is being continuously trained to improve its accuracy.
