Deeptech start-up Qdrant was able to secure €2 million in an early financing round. This is led by European funds 42CAP and IBB Ventures.
Founded in 2021, the company specializes in processing unstructured data. It aims to use neural search technology to advance applied AI solutions and metric learning. Potential customers are companies that use or offer AI-based solutions. Potential applications range from product recommendations in e-commerce to image recognition and anomaly analysis.
Both investors had a strong track record of supporting early-stage deep-tech startups, the company said. "We are very pleased with the trust and capital placed in us by the investors. With their help, we will succeed in making Metric Learning truly viable," said co-founder Andrey Vasnetsov.
