Tom Schmidtgen | 12.01.2021Filestage has closed its Series A financing. The start-up from Stuttgart receives 2.8 million.
Software start-up Filestage receives €2.8 million from a Series A financing. The main backer is the Dutch VC Newion. In addition, the previous investors, High Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) and Seed+Speed of Carsten Maschmeyer participate.
Filestage has built a platform to solicit feedback on projects. Users can also collaborate on documents, videos or websites. "95% of companies still use email and outdated commenting tools like Adobe Acrobat, MS Office and Dropbox to share and discuss content," Maschmeyer said in a statement. "However, I'm convinced that successful companies will increasingly invest in online proofing software to avoid email clutter and be effective." Filestage's customers include DM, Lufthansa and Sixt.
"We will use the funding to invest in our product and make existing and new customers even smarter with AI-driven reviews and analytics," says CEO and co-founder Niklas Dorn. "We will continue to invest in integrations and partnerships to ensure seamless customer workflows." Filestage was founded in 2015 by Dorn, Maël Frize and Simon Kontschak. 530,000 people are already using the platform.
