DN Capital apparently opens office in Berlin
Jan Schulte | 04.11.2021The European venture capital manager is thus further expanding its presence in the German tech ecosystem, according to a media report.
As the British portal Private equity wire reports, the VC DN Capital has opened an office in Berlin. According to the report, Ragnar Jongen, Marius Oesterschlink, Lucas Schaubel, Nenad Marovac and Thomas Rubens will work there. In the future, DN Capital wants to create numerous new jobs in this country.
Germany is not new territory for DN Capital: over the past two decades, the venture capital firm has become one of the most active investors in the DACH region. For example, the company was one of the leading early-stage investors in the successful German start-ups Auto1, GoStudent, HomeToGo, Mister Spex and Quandoo. "The DACH market is very important for us at DN Capital. This year alone, we have listed three of our German portfolio companies on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange," says Nenad Marovac, founding partner of DN Capital. "We find the size of the market and the quality of the entrepreneurs very impressive and we see this now in the results German companies are achieving in the market today."
In 2000, start-up connoisseurs Nenad Marovac and Steve Schlenker founded DN Capital. The company became internationally known for funding well-known companies such as Shazam, Remitly and OLX.
