With Daniela Heipel, Patricia Schwan and Jan Wegner, the voting company expands its executive floor.

The founder and CEO of the start-up Polyas, Kai Reinhard, is bringing three more colleagues into the company's top management: Daniela Heipel, Patricia Schwan and Jan Wegner. The company, based in Berlin, Kassel and Switzerland, specializes in digital elections and voting.

Daniela Heipel has been head of election management at Polyas for about a year. In the management team, she strengthens the areas of tenders and project management. Until 2016, she had worked as a portfolio manager at GFA Consulting Group in Hamburg. After that, she had moved to Polyas' sister company Micromata. Here, she had headed the business development and IT project management departments.

Patricia Schwan has been a Polyas employee for even longer. As Managing Director at the Berlin location, she takes on strategic tasks in the areas of sales, marketing and revenue planning. In 2018, she had become head of sales at Polyas. Previously, she had worked at the software provider Brandwatch.

Jan Wegner, like Heipel, comes from Micromata. There, he had responsibility for a separate business unit. Since April 2021, he has served as head of product. He had started his professional career at the K+S Group, where he had held various positions in Germany and the USA for more than ten years.

"With the newly established leadership team, personal and professional strengths are added," says founder Reinhard. "I am particularly proud that we now have the 50 percent female quota in the management team." The physicist had founded the company in 2012. Previously, he had co-managed the software company Micromata. Polyas had then emerged from this.

Polyas aims to simplify the organization and execution of online elections - from the casting of votes to the counting of votes. The company claims to have already conducted tens of thousands of online elections, nominations and live votes. According to Polyas, its customers include more than 100 universities, cooperative banks, clubs, associations and companies such as the Project Management Institute and Wikimedia. Political parties such as the CDU, SPD, FDP or the Greens are apparently also among the customers.
