Successful exit: EINHUNDERT Energie sells majority stake to Arcus Infrastructure Partners

The Cologne-based greentech start-up announces the sale of a majority stake to Arcus Infrastructure Partners, accompanied by an early termination of the crowdinvesting on WIWIN.
Mainz - Cologne-based greentech start-up EINHUNDERT Energie announces a successful exit as European infrastructure fund manager Arcus Infrastructure Partners (Arcus) has acquired a majority stake in the group. The acquisition took place in mid-January 2024 via the Arcus Infrastructure Fund 3 and its portfolio company Officium GmbH.
As a result of this exit, WIWIN's crowdinvesting will also be terminated prematurely. The Cologne-based company is exercising its ordinary right of termination and is closing the crowdinvesting as early as March 31, 2024, although the original term was scheduled to end on December 31, 2024. Investors will receive their investment amount back early, plus a one-off early repayment fee of 0.75 percent on their investment.
The development that EINHUNDERT has achieved in recent years is not only a great success story for the company itself.
Felix Auspurg, Managing Director of WIWIN
EINHUNDERT Energie has been active since 2017 and specializes in scalable tenant and heating energy. The company supports real estate companies and energy service providers in decarbonizing their building portfolios. The crowdinvesting via WIWIN with an issue volume of EUR 1,250,000 and an interest rate of seven percent per year started in April 2020.
Felix Auspurg, Managing Director of WIWIN, is delighted with the exit and emphasizes the importance of EINHUNDERT Energie in relation to the energy transition. The early termination of the crowd investment is interpreted as a result of the positive business development.
Arcus continues its growth agenda
With the sale of the majority stake, Arcus will continue to drive EINHUNDERT's growth agenda. The partnership between Officium and EINHUNDERT enables a bundled offering for building owners with multiple tenants to decarbonize their electricity and heating needs in an environmentally friendly way.
The transaction represents a successful exit for EINHUNDERT's VC and angel investors, including Triodos Energy Transition Europe Fund, EWE, NRW.BANK, Übermorgen Ventures and kopa ventures (formerly Wi Venture). EINHUNDERT Energie remains active with more than 65 employees in Cologne and Berlin and continues to focus on the electrification and decarbonization of buildings.
