Game hosting provider Nitrado has new majority owner

The private equity fund FLEX Capital takes over the majority of the shares.

Berlin-based FLEX Capital is acquiring a majority stake in Nitrado, a game hosting provider based in Karlsruhe. The purchase is intended to expand the B2B business and drive internationalization. Nitrado is part of Marbis and offers servers for computer games. The company operates eight data centers on four continents and employs 74 people. The turnover of the company, which was founded in 2001, is more than 20 million euros. "The charisma of the Nitrado brand in the gaming community, the innovative software solutions, coupled with the entrepreneurial achievement of becoming a global tech champion under its own steam, impressed us very much from the beginning," says Peter Waleczek, Managing Partner at FLEX Capital. "This corporate DNA is a great fit for FLEX. Together with the management, we now want to consistently continue on this growth path."
