Index Ventures Raises $3.5 Billion for New Seed, Venture, and Growth Funds

The European venture capital firm Index Ventures has announced new funds with a total volume of 3.5 billion U.S. dollars. The capital is divided among a $400 million seed fund, a $900 million venture fund, and a growth fund that has been increased to $2.2 billion.

With the new funds, Index Ventures intends to continue supporting startups from their first round of financing through to their IPO. The Growth Fund has been increased by $700 million compared to its predecessor, which was launched in 2024.

According to the investor, AI significantly shortens the time from initial idea to market-ready product and opens up new opportunities for founders in areas such as infrastructure, cybersecurity, fintech, healthcare, productivity, and consumer applications.

The additional capital is intended to enable the firm to fund founders at all stages of development—from initial product ideas through to international scaling.
