Investment company Greenfield One launches 50 million euro fund

The investor specializing in cryptocurrencies is looking for backers for his second fund.
Bitcoin has recently risen again and with it the interest of traditional investors. "Many were extremely shy when it came to crypto, but in recent months they have come out of hiding," says Greenfield partner Sebastian Blum at Finance Forward. The Berlin-based investment firm Greenfield One is now looking for investors for its second venture capital fund. Big names are already involved after the first round: Gütersloh-based Bertelsmann Investments and Lennertz & Co. have already invested.
Lennertz & Co. also invested in the first fund of Greenfield One, which was only founded in 2018. At that time, the Berlin-based company financed ten blockchain projects. Since then, more and more institutional investors have also shown interest, says Blum. He expects blockchain technology to have a "huge impact" in five to ten years' time.
