Jury change on DHDL imminent

Show veterans Ralf Dümmel and Georg Kofler will cooperate in the first episode. After that, however, one of them could drop out.

There will be a change on the investor bench of the Vox show "Die Höhle der Löwen" in the new season. Lions Ralf Dümmel and Georg Kofler will appear as a team for the first time, at least in the first episode, as Gründerszene reported. The reason: Kofler's Social Chain Group took over Dümmel's company DS for 220.5 million euros just under a year ago.

Despite the takeover, Ralf Dümmel did not disappear from day-to-day business: He was appointed to the company's board of directors. There, as Chief Product Officer (CPO), he is responsible for product, purchasing, trade marketing, logistics and sales.

Previously, the two companies had completely different business models. These were to be combined. Social Chain AG is a social media marketing agency. DS Group is a trading company that distributes food or consumer goods, among other things. The company offers about 4,000 items. Now Social Chain AG wants to build a social commerce platform.

Whether the duo Dümmel-Kofler will appear in the longer term, however, is probably still unclear. In future episodes, Dümmel will be seen on the show more often than Kofler. In the long term, the latter could even withdraw completely and leave the field to Dümmel. According to Gründerszene , Dümmel will continue to focus on deals that fit his company DS, which concentrates on promotional products. He will not act as an extension of Kofler.
