Marc Nemitz Marc Nemitz | 11.09.2023

Logility has acquired Belgium-based Garvis to improve AI-powered supply chain forecasting. This integration is expected to be completed in 12 months and promises better accuracy for businesses.

US-based Logility, a provider of supply chain planning solutions, has acquired Belgian company Garvis. Antwerp-based Garvis combines language models with AI-based demand forecasting. The acquisition aims to improve supply chain planning.

Garvis has developed a forecasting solution called "DemandAI+" that uses generative AI and machine learning algorithms. This solution digitizes supply chain relationships and makes data accessible in real time to people across the enterprise. This enables planners, managers and other employees to make informed decisions.

We are on the cusp of a fundamental shift in supply chain planning. This includes technological advances, a generational shift in planners, and rapid and fundamental market changes and disruptions.

Allan Dow, President Logility

DemandAI+ will be integrated into the Logility® Digital Supply Chain Platform, expected within the next 12 months. This will make Logility a supply chain planning platform that combines generative AI, AI algorithms and machine learning. This approach is expected to improve forecasting accuracy and help companies in dynamic markets.

With more than 70 deployments, DemandAI+ has demonstrated that it helps companies make accurate forecasts for products, locations and customers. This results in improved forecast accuracy, especially for heavily promoted, seasonal or intermittent products.

Our customers have achieved breakthrough results by using AI-driven algorithms and natural language interfaces to gain insights into demand cycles and quickly share that knowledge with the rest of their organization.

Piet Buyck, CEO Garvis

Logility customers can now leverage the power of AI-driven insights for supply chain planning. The acquisition is expected to help increase the efficiency and accuracy of supply chain planning to keep companies competitive in changing markets.
