Max Maendler supports Simpleclub

Maendler is no stranger to the edtech scene. Now he is joining Simpleclub as a business angel.
Eduki founder Max Maendler has joined Simpleclub as a business angel. "We are very pleased about the trust that Max is signaling with his commitment to Simpleclub," says Simpleclub CEO and founder Alexander Giesecke. "We will benefit greatly from his entrepreneurial experience."
Max Maendler founded the Lehrermarktplatz platform in 2016, which now operates under the name Eduki. Teachers can share their teaching materials there. He is also a co-initiator of the "Wir für Schule" hackathon, which developed digital solutions for schools in June 2020.
"Edtechs like Simpleclub ensure that existing structures and learning opportunities become better and more contemporary and that change finally gets underway," says Maendler. "Good education is perhaps the most important resource in our society, and we need to make every effort to develop it together in a way that is appropriate for the present and the future."
Alexander Giesecke and Nicolai Schork founded Simpleclub in 2015, and it was only in December of last year that Simpleclub was able to secure 1.25 million euros for its educational services. HV Capital and the founders of Flixbus, Schüttflix and Sennder invested in the company. A few days ago, the start-up also announced that Dario Schramm, former Secretary General of the German National Student Conference, had joined as Manager for Political Communication.
