Simpleclub receives 1.25 million euros

The money comes from well-known business angels, among others. Among other things, the start-up plans to further expand its popular learning app.
The Munich-based start-up Simpleclub has received funding of 1.25 million euros. The existing investor HV Capital has once again invested in the learning platform. Daniel Krauss from Flixbus, Christian Hülsewig from Schüttflix and Matti Niebelschütz from Coachhub joined as new investors. David Nothacker, Julius Kurt Köhler and Nicolaus Schefenacker from Sennder have also joined. The founders want to use the money to drive forward Simpleclub's current strong growth. In addition, new technologies such as augmented reality systems are to be integrated into the company's learning app.
"Our goal is to actively shape the future of education," says Alexander Giesecke, co-founder of Simpleclub. "The fact that top entrepreneurs who have built some of Germany's most successful start-ups are now joining us and believe in our vision of democratizing education through digital learning opportunities confirms that we are on the right track." Well-known entrepreneur Verena Pausder, who is a shareholder in Simpleclub, says: "Now the years of know-how from a wide range of industries are coming together and will support the Simpleclub team in building the educational product that we have all wanted for a long time."
Simpleclub is the most popular learning platform among school pupils in Germany. The learning app also has offers for trainees and students. In total, it has more than two million users per month. It offers around 10,000 videos, tasks and summaries. Statistics show the respective learning progress of the users. Teachers also use Simpleclub.
