Neobank Pockid renames itself and expands

Neobank Pockid will soon become Ruuky. The fintech wants to reach more young people.
The Hamburg-based fintech Pockid is planning a comprehensive rebranding. As the neobank announced, it will soon be operating under the name Ruuky. The start-up is also planning to expand into Austria, with other European countries to follow.
The name Ruuky is a reference to the English term "rookie", which stands for young and up-and-coming sporting talent. The new name was also chosen so that it works in other languages and countries.
The start-up, which was founded in 2020 by Jes Henning, Max Schwarz, Timo Steffens and Deepankar Jha, wants to use the rebranding to increasingly target younger people. This is why Neobank also offers parents the option to keep an eye on their children's finances and support them in managing their accounts. The company also offers social features around its credit cards.
