Neobank Pockid will soon become Ruuky. With this, the fintech wants to reach more young people.

Hamburg-based fintech Pockid is planning a comprehensive rebranding. As Neobank announced, it will appear under the name Ruuky in the near future. In addition, the startup plans to expand to Austria, with other European countries to follow.

The name Ruuky is intended to refer to the English term "rookie," which stands for young and aspiring sports talent. The new name was also chosen to work in other languages and countries.

Founded in 2020 by Jes Henning, Max Schwarz, Timo Steffens and Deepankar Jha, the start-up wants to increasingly target younger people with the rebranding. That's why Neobank also offers parents the option to keep track of their children's finances and help them manage their accounts. The company also offers social features around its credit cards.
