New start-up targets the spice market

Lyn's plans to launch its products on the market from August 2. The start-up is based in Heilbronn.
The countdown is running on the website: there are still five days to go until Lyn's sells its Indian spices via its own store. The start-up's promise is to do everything better than the big spice manufacturers: a transparent supply chain for the sustainably produced, original spice blends, which are to be hand-ground by women in India. The two brains behind it are Sahil Singh and Alexander Melnikov, the start-up is based in the Heilbronn district.
The inspiration for the name and concept was Singh's mother. Together, they tested the spices and developed the recipes, but the coronavirus pandemic delayed the market launch. The start-up started with 6,400 euros in equity capital and raised a further 12,000 euros via a crowdfunding campaign. Funding is important for the company's continued existence. There are also plans to expand the range to include dried fruit and coffee, for example.
