Proglove gets new supervisory board boss

The start-up has appointed Ken Allen to the supervisory board. He was CEO of DHL Express for a long time.
Ken Allen became the new Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Proglove on August 1. This was announced by the Munich-based company at the beginning of the week. With Allen, the wearable start-up has secured a long-standing e-commerce expert. Allen spent 37 years at Deutsche Post DHL Group, including 13 years as a member of the Board of Management and CEO of DHL Express and DHL E-Commerce Solutions.
Thomas Kirchner, Paul Günther, Jonas Girardet and Alexander Grots founded the company in 2014. The start-up sells an intelligent scanner that can be integrated into gloves. With this technology, companies should be able to save four seconds per scan. According to the company, in May it had 250 employees in Munich, Chicago and Belgrade and customers in over 30 countries. At the time, the company achieved a spectacular 500 million euro exit. Nordic Capital stepped in at the time and secured a large part of the company's shares.
"I am delighted to be joining Proglove at this important point in the company's development. Proglove has built an excellent business and is ideally positioned to grow further. I look forward to bringing new perspectives and supporting the strong team at Proglove," said Ken Allen.
