The venture capital platform AQUATY has gained Alexander Grimm as a member of the founding team, who previously worked as COO at Getsafe. At the same time, the company can point to successful pre-seed financing of over 2 million US dollars.

Münster, March 2024 - Alexander Grimm, former Chief Operating Officer of Getsafe, has joined the founding team of AQUATY. As the new Managing Director and shareholder, Grimm will use his experience to drive the growth of the venture capital start-up.

AQUATY targets the private capital market by simplifying transactions and significantly lowering entry barriers to venture capital. The software, based on artificial intelligence, creates more transparency by structuring data from off-market companies.

Over 2 million US dollars in pre-seed financing - solid basis for growth

The company can already look back on a successful financing history. With more than 2 million US dollars in pre-seed funding, including well-known investors such as Mirko Novakovic and Berthold von Freyberg, the company is well positioned to drive its mission forward.

Outlook: AQUATY plans founder-specific product

The platform aims to make the early-stage investment asset class accessible to a broader market. AQUATY offers an option to invest from EUR 1,000 in venture capital and enables risk diversification comparable to an index ETF for early-stage investments. After a successful beta phase, AQUATY has launched its product range for venture capitalists, business angels and private investors.

This infrastructure makes it possible to reduce or eliminate the regulatory and procedural effort of VC transactions by a factor of 10.

Alexander Grimm, member of the AQUATY founding team

In the coming months, AQUATY plans to launch a new product that is specifically tailored to founders. The focus will be on functions such as the management of cap tables and the uncomplicated implementation of employee share programs. It will be interesting to see how the as yet unspecified product is received in the current tense market situation in the start-up world.

Alexander Grimm: Convinced of AQUATY's potential

Grimm is impressed by the existing infrastructure and is convinced that AQUATY is perfectly positioned to make an entire asset class more accessible. His experience should help to significantly reduce or even eliminate the regulatory and procedural burden of VC transactions.
