QuEra secures 230 million US dollars

The start-up QuEra Computing receives USD 230 million to further develop its fault-tolerant quantum computers. Investors include Google Quantum AI and SoftBank Vision Fund.
Boston, February 11, 2025 - Quantum computing startup QuEra Computing has raised $230 million in a Series B funding round. The company plans to use the capital to further develop its technology, expand production and consolidate its lead in the development of fault-tolerant, scalable quantum computers.
Investors back QuEra
The new investors include Google Quantum AI, SoftBank Vision Fund and Valor Equity Partners. They join existing investors such as QVT Family Office and Safar Partners. The renewed participation of existing investors underlines the confidence in QuEra's progress and strategic direction. USD 60 million of the total funding is linked to the achievement of specific milestones.
Technological milestones and expansion
Since the last financing round in 2023, QuEra has made significant progress - both scientifically and commercially. In close collaboration with research teams at Harvard University and MIT, the company is working on the development of powerful quantum computers based on neutral atoms. Strategic partnerships with research institutions and companies such as AIST contribute to the commercialization of the technology.
