Raisin wants to compete with Solarisbank

In Banking as a Service, Raisin Bank cooperates with Mambu. Other fintechs can thus use the company's banking license.
Raisin Bank has launched its own banking-as-a-service offering. To do so, the bank uses the cloud of Berlin-based banking unicorn Mambu. Competitors such as comparison platform Check24's C24 Bank, N26 and Solarisbank are also building their banking business on the Mambu service.
"With Mambu, we have increased the speed at which we scale processes and develop new applications. This move puts us in the right position to meet the rapidly growing demand for digital banking solutions," said Chief Commerical Officer Andreas Wolf of Raisin Bank on the decision.
Raisin Bank is backed by Raisin DS, a merger of Raisin and Deposit Solutions. The company achieved Unicorn status in July this year(we reported). Raisin Bank has been in existence since 1973 and was called MHB Bank before it was acquired by Raisin. The bank offers its own loans and helps other fintechs without a Bafin license to lend. Recently, Raisin Bank also invested in the "buy now, pay later" fintech Billie(we reported).
