Recare secures 3.2 million euros

New funding for Recare: Find out how the HealthTech company facilitates patient transfer between hospitals and aftercare providers

Berlin, April 2, 2024 - Recare, a HealthTech startup, has successfully closed a financing round and raised 3.2 million euros. The fresh capital will be used to further expand the digital marketplace for discharge management in Germany. The new round comes from both existing investors and Gilion, a European platform for financing start-ups and scale-ups. In light of the upcoming implementation of the Hospital Future Act (KHZG), this step comes at an important time.

Recare's Software-as-a-Service platform enables a smooth patient transfer from hospitals to aftercare providers. The aim is to make hospital discharge and transfer processes more efficient and to support healthcare staff in patient care.

Since its foundation in 2017, Recare has established itself as a provider of digital discharge management in Germany. The marketplace now connects 700 acute hospitals, 650 rehabilitation clinics and 24,000 other service providers in the care and aids/homecare sector. The financing round enables Recare to further advance its discharge management solutions and thus contribute to the digitalization of the German healthcare system. With the acquisition of Pflegeplatzmanager GmbH in summer 2023, Recare has grown to 700 acute care hospitals, 650 rehabilitation clinics and 24,000 other service providers in the care and assistive technology/homecare sector. The company was founded in 2017 and is headquartered in Berlin.
